Pacifier is the debut album by the Washington, . based alternative metal music group Nothingface. The album was released by DCide on February 6, 1997, and was reissued on August 11, 1998. Many of the tracks on Pacifier were re-recorded from the band's 1995 independent release Nothingface. The tracks "Defaced", "Self Punishment", "Hitch", "Useless", "Perfect Person", and "Communion" were all re-recorded from Nothingface with slight lyrical changes.

The album is very different stylistically from later releases, with vocalist Matt Holt barely singing and using a deeper, almost death growl-like technique. Many songs were rerecorded from the band’s previous self-titled effort. More Nothingface albums. Show all albums by Nothingface.

Nothingface's debut album, Pacifier, is a solid debut by one of metal's most promising rookies. Stepping forth with the common formula popularized by Korn with low-tuned bass and rabid, animalistic screams, these four men have compiled an album that is ripe with inner turmoil and problematic self-esteem issues. Lyrically, Pacifier is quite personal, and even touches on child molestation, which is a frightening concept that is unnervingly enough becoming the trademark of this "new breed" of heavy metal.
